LuggageLog ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to our website (luggage-log.com) and our apps (web, iOS, Android).

2.1 Account Information: email address and optional profile information (e.g. display name).

2.2 Content You Create: trips, items, templates, and collaborator emails you invite.

2.3 Device & Usage Data: app version, device information, diagnostics, crash logs, and aggregated analytics.

2.4 Camera Access: optional access used only when you choose to take item photos or scan QR/barcodes to speed up packing. We do not access the camera in the background.

2.5 Website Analytics: we use cookies and tracking technologies for analytics (see Section 9).

3. Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract: To provide core features (packing lists, sync, collaboration).
• Consent: Camera access and optional photos; marketing (if subscribed).
• Legitimate Interests: Product analytics, fraud prevention, service improvement.
• Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and improve LuggageLog features (lists, templates, sharing)
• Sync across devices and enable collaboration you request
• Provide support and communicate important service updates
• Measure aggregated usage to improve reliability and UX

5. Sharing & Data Processors

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted processors to provide our service:

• Firebase (authentication, optional hosting/services) and/or PocketBase (data backend)
• Google Analytics on the website for aggregated usage metrics

These providers process data on our behalf under data protection agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law. You can delete trips/items in-app. You may request account deletion at any time (see Section 7).

8. International Transfers
